This is another bead RR block, my second one to work on. I added the berries across the top left and the bead treatment above them. Also the irridescent flowers below it. And then the seam treatment vertical of blue beads. This is called 'cross stitch' in the bead book. First time I have done it, and it was fun, but my old stiff fingers had a time holding onto the beads!

The block I have worked on - I added a print of a lady and put ruched ribbon around her. I also made a beaded flower with leaves beside her in the corner. Since this is my first block to work on, I hesitated to do more. But I am learning.

I mentioned a few days ago that I am in a Bead RR in the CQInternational group. I am going to post some pictures of my block and also the ones I am working on as I go along. It is fun to decide what you can do with just beads! Some of them say it is o.k. to use stitching and beads together. So ........................

My Southern Belle Lady

I have been working on the SRE on this wall hanging for about 6 or 7 months. It was an old transfer that I found at an estate sale. It had never been used and I was able to stamp it off on silk. It is 26" square !! The original transfer had stalks of holly hock flowers around her, but I chose to put lots of flowers like she is walking through a garden. The only beading I have done is the fringe on her parasol. I am looking for a large oval frame with curved glass to have it framed. If anyone has one for sale, please email me. I'm interested!!!

Bead RR

I am involved in a Bead RR with several friends in CQI. I am enjoying it a lot and will try to post pictures of some of the blocks, (when I learn how). LOL
